Hi, friends 👋🏻

I am taking a little social media break and will be removing this app from my phone for the remainder of 2025. I will check in periodically, but will not be active here in this space while I plan my next direction.

Before I go, I do want to announce that I'm coming out of art fair/maker's market retirement to do a very special event in the Grantham Village School Gymnasium.

Why am I so excited about this particular place?

GVS is the elementary school I attended throughout my childhood (proof of 5th grade little Heather in the GVS gym).

The gym is not only where I showed off my invention of Y2K Jeans*, but also a place where I had actual gym class, saxophone practice, concerts, spelling bees, sports practices, Scholastic book fairs, dances, 6th grade graduation... I could go on.

AND my own parents MET in this gym 45ish years ago. 🥰

"bicameral"

This is the second collab between @lisaveralliart and I.

We worked on two canvases simultaneously, with different approaches to each (see my previous post "seraphine" for our abstract/overlap approach).

With this one, sections were taped off for us to showcase our own styles next to each other. It has been some time since I did a dot piece this large and admittedly, it challenged me!

I again want to state how amazing it was to learn about one another through this process. I am so very grateful for you, Lisa.

We did agree that if someone wants to own this piece, we would happily sell it. DM me directly if interested! We are presenting it this weekend & then it will be available for youuuuu.

Mariah Raynes (who you might also know as the Tunbridge Public Library's Director and over-all Super Woman) and I have an offering together on Sunday the 24th!

🖌 In this workshop, you will create abstract watercolor art and then cut it up to collage your own "self portrait". All supplies included for you to get creative with other collage materials you may want to add. ✂️

One week later and I'm still thinking about the reveal & celebration of my series "Remnants".

This body of work offered me a place to hold an overspilling of both grief and joy after a profound personal loss.
